Jan 23 - Badminton

Day 6 of this blog I tried to play badminton.

Benefits of Badminton
- Improves the muscle strength
- Improves heart function
- Reduces stress
- Improves flexibility
- Strengthen your bone

I've actually played badminton as a child, stopped at one point, continued after my first year of high school, but then also stopped after a year. I wasn't taught by a professional but I was taught by my own mother, who would often bring us to the park in order to play badminton. Playing badminton now made me realize how much of my badminton skills have been degraded. It's sad that I'm not as active with playing badminton, only because of the recent pandemic in the country.

I love badminton, although I may be tired of playing after 30 minutes or so, I still love doing it. Even if I can be clumsy and I don't know how to play well, it's still fun to play as a stress reliever and a hobby. In the near future I'd like to do badminton daily, although not now nor soon.

Trivia: Badminton has become the second-most popular sport in the world behind soccer.
Trivia: Badminton is the fastest racquet sport in the world—shuttles can reach speeds of over 200 miles per hour.
